Judgement

Society requires timely final judgements
despite inner doubts and uncertainties.
After you have commited to and heard the case,
and used all your resources, you must render a judgement.

Most judgements hide their subjectivity and uncertainties
since what is being judged is treated as an object or person
with only implicit reference to many subjective factors
that together influence judgement.

This process has an evil side, mired in unconscious attitudes
that justify prejudice, bigotry, and bias.
While compelled to judge, one cannot eliminate the influences
of unconscious emotions, beliefs or values.
