From a poem by Meister Eckhart, a 13th century Catholic theologan, mystic, and abbot, (p. 120 in the book "Love Poems from God")

"Every object, every creature, every man, woman and child has a soul and it is the destiny of all

"to see as God sees,
to know as God knows,
to feel as God feels,
to be as God is."

Buddha nature may be different; everything is Buddha Nature, rather than just destiny. Yet, in the Tricycle (Buddhist) magazine (Spring 2006 p.62), a variety of articles discuss, in the context of the Lotus Sutra, "Buddhahood is the ultimate destiny of all".
