Preface: Personal Sincerity

As an initial preface to Zazen,
Sincerely vow to practice for the benefit of all.
Start by acknowledging both failures and
blessings to date from practice.

Second, the Wellness prayer,
includes all those that one connects to or influences.
Considering all that they influence, and subsequent influences,
in a very practical sense practice includes all.

(Somehow, in a process I don't understand
even remote influences seem to come back
or reverse time, in that
I am being, being practiced.)

Third, before beginning Zazen,
Focus on Breathing
trying to bring to awareness
your physical body, emotions, thinking, and intentions.

In the ultimate sense, we do not practice.
Instead we allow practice,
giving our attention, and mindfulness
to the Suchness and Being of living.
