Start where you feel safe but still mildly challenged:
Extends to rocks, trees, stars, anything.
In a quiet, open mind
There are no boundaries,
Just whatever comes to your your mind.
Sit in an upright posture, without any gaining notion.
Without trying to get better, get ahead, or achieve something.
Without trying to realize anything, in particular or in general.
Returning to mindfulness of your changing present moment.
Return to Zazen's upright posture and concentration:
Neither attaching to or pushing away: thoughts, feelings, sensations and senses.
Just resting; boundlessly alive, awake, and aware,
Not fixating on self, ultimately not even holding a perception of yourself.
These meditations are not based on theories, ideals. or faith.
Instead each changes within your practice
Within each experiment, each experience, each moment
Experimentally, experientially, existentially.
